FAQ
What is GAMSDAQ?
A fantasy stock exchange for Steam games. Prices are set entirely by player buy and sell orders, and each game's concurrent player count acts as its fundamentals — holders earn a daily dividend proportional to it.
Is this real money?
No. Everything on GAMSDAQ is play money. You cannot deposit, withdraw, cash out, or send money to other users — nothing here has any real-world value.
Is signing in with Steam safe?
Yes. We use Steam's official OpenID sign-in: your password is only ever entered on Steam's own site. GAMSDAQ receives just your SteamID and public nickname — never your credentials.
How do I earn GEM?
Sign-up bonus, daily dividends on your holdings, inviting friends, and claiming rewards for your Steam playtime — see the Rewards section in your portfolio.
How are share prices set?
Entirely by player orders — every trade is a match between a buy and a sell, just like a real order book. A system market-maker bot provides liquidity by quoting around a reference price that blends the latest trade with each game's player-count fundamentals, so when a game's concurrent players rise, its quotes drift up too. There is no admin-set price.
How do dividends work?
Once a day, every share you hold pays out about 0.2% of its fundamental value — which tracks the game's concurrent players. Hold games whose player counts are climbing and your dividends grow. If total payouts would exceed the daily budget (which scales with the number of active holders), everyone's per-share dividend is scaled down proportionally.
Where does the market data come from?
Publicly available Steam data. Concurrent player counts refresh about every 5 minutes for the top games.
